So I got all moved in last Sunday. :) I LOVE it!!! It's the best feeling ever to finally be on your own. :) Mom and Dad, don't get me wrong, I really miss you guys, but I love being so independent. It's awesome.
Except...tonight is Friday night, and I think it's the first time in a year or two (with a few exceptions, I'm sure) that I have had absolutely nothing to do. I hate it. I don't know what to do with myself. I cleaned my room, cleaned the bathroom, cleaned the kitchen...there's nothing left to do...it's lonely. I might actually, like...go to bed. Yikes. Who does that? Oh well. I'll probably get used to it. I've been getting way too much sleep lately.

Growing Up
Recently I've been doing a lot of growing up. By choice, even. I've been making a lot of pretty drastic and major changes that I'm really excited about.
For starters I got all registered for school and signed up for my classes, and figured out what I need to take for the next 3 years to be on track for graduation. Golly, I hate school. ;)
This summer I've been blessed with having two jobs, both of which I really love. I work at the Hurricane City Pool as the front desk person, and I absolutely love it! I love interacting with all of the life guards. I've become such good friends with ALL of them. We have some good chats and fun times.
My other job is at Eccoci in the Red Cliffs Mall. It has the most beautiful clothes I've EVER seen! They're really high quality, and just plain beautiful. And expensive...but they have REALLY good sales, and I get MAJOR discounts. It's pretty much my dream job. I love it. I also love the people I work with. They ladies are all so nice. My closet is reaping the benefits. :)
Plus, I'm moving out. Haha! I'M SO EXCITED!!! I'm moving in with one of my best friends, Heather Fife, and some of my other music friends from school. It's going go be so much fun! Also, the apartment is right by the Eccles building, which I practically where I've lived for the last year. It'll be so nice to be close enough that I can go home whenever I feel like it or need to. And it'll save my car. I'm not quite sure how my parents are feeling about it, but I think they're ok with it. It's time.
And I ordered a checkbook all by myself. :) I wrote my first check yesterday with MY name on it. That was a big moment for me. Haha! :) And I finally got new glasses!!! I love them so much! My old glasses broke about 4 months ago, but I had to wait til July 1st to get on my parents insurance. They were totally worth the wait. Plus now it's not like an Indiana Jones ride when I drive home from St. George at night. :) That's always a plus!
Then tonight my cousin, Bonnie, highlighted my hair for the first time, ever. I LOVE IT!!! It's a lot lighter than I had anticipated, but like I said...I love it. It's perfect. :) I'm so excited. She also gave me a wonderful cut. She's amazing, that's all there is to it. A true miracle worker. Thanks, Bonnie! :) I'll take a picture and post it tomorrow.
So...pretty much life is good. :)

Return From Tomorrow
My friend recommended this book to me, and actually bought me a copy so I'd be sure to read it, but it still took me a couple of months to actually crack it open. Once I did, though, I couldn't stop reading. My dad even stole it from me and read it with my mom.
It's about this guy who dies for 9 minutes during WWII. The book is about everything that he experiences during those 9 minutes. It's an amazing book! I'm not saying I believe EVERYTHING it says - I'm sure they spiced some of it up a little to make a good story - but I can't think of any reason NOT to believe it for the most part. It at least makes you want to be a better person. I highly recommend it.

Okay, okay :)
Ok. Since it has been an awfully long time since I posted last, I decided maybe I should again. I just can't think of anything to write about! A lot has happened, I guess. I just need to remember it.
We've recently gone through a scary time with both of my grandparents. First, my grandma fell and broke her pelvic bone and her arm. She was in the hospital and rehab for a good long time recovering from those. She's just so stubborn (one thing I'm told we have in common)! She wouldn't cooperate and take her pills to stop infection and stuff. She's doing a whole lot better now though.
Right now my grandpa is in the hospital. Two weeks ago today (Sunday) he woke up in the night with back pain, and my parents took him to the emergency room, where they did an MRI looking for kidney stones. Instead they found that his aorta had an aneurysm. The wall of it had just gotten too old and ballooned out, leaking his blood. They rushed him in to surgery, not really planning on him making it out. My grandpa's a tough old cuss though, and is still kicking and trying to convince the faculty to let him come home so he can fix everything that has broken in his absence :) He's doing really well now.
My grandpa is so dang healthy for an almost 89 year old. When they were asking him about his medical history the only thing he said was that he thought he'd had athletes foot once, and that wasn't even on the list of things to check. He just keeps going. I think that's the key. Endure to the end. He's got that part down.
My grandma and I have gotten a lot closer these past few weeks. I'm not quite sure why, but I can talk to her a lot easier now. I was always a grandpa's girl, and never really gave her a chance, I guess because she was always comparing me to my siblings. Also, she would always pick on my grandpa and get mad at him for dumb things, which I hated, so I didn't talk to her as much. I've taken her to the hospital to see grandpa a few times through this, and we've been able to talk a lot. I can relate to her pretty well, and we're more alike than I cared to admit. Yesterday, my parents were out of town, so I heated up some lasagna and went over to her house. We ate together and watched an old Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Katherine Grayson musical, and thoroughly enjoyed one another's company. Things are looking up. :)
That's all for tonight.
