2 weeks and 4 days

Golly! The time is flying by! I'm so excited. :) We've been doing a lot of the final preparations for the wedding lately, and I'm really very pleased with everything. The main thing we need to do (besides paint the gazebo) is make the cake. We made the bottom layer a few weeks ago, planning to make the whole thing out of rice crispy treats, but after it alone took 9 batches, we decided to shell out the money and buy Styrofoam cake forms. I also bought a damask [pronounced dam-isk with a long A, like the swear word] stencil and frosting spray paint, so the bottom layer will have that around it, the middle layer will just have a yellow ribbon around the base, and the top layer will have that quilted look that they do with fondant with little edible pearls at each intersection. The whole thing will be white (imagine that) with yellow damask and ribbons. And yellow flowers on top.
Yesterday my mom and I went and met with the florist and designed my bouquet and all the other flowers. :) My bouquet will just be all yellow calla lilies with navy blue ribbon around the stems, much like this one:

For the centerpieces I think I'll get a bunch of tall, skinny vases and put lemons in them, with a single long stem of asiatic lilies in them.
My mom and I also went to the distribution center and got my temple clothes and stuff. I'm so excited! I go through the temple in a week and 4 days. Golly! :)
Now we just need to find Justin a job, and find a place to live after the Roosendaals when school starts. Any suggestions?

P.S. I also want to try the hairstyle above. It probably won't work, but it's worth a try, right?

I love, love, love the idea of that hair style. Just have to make sure you shape it to your face shape too. (Not a hard thing and it will sort of happen naturally anyway.)

love the hairstyle. nana could try it if it doesn't work- but good advice to get curls like that-(even tho ya might already know i'll throw in my two cents haha) curl your hair in regular ringlets all first, then hairspray (not too much dont want it too heavy yet) and then use a pick or big comb to comb throw gently so the curls loosen, shape em with your fingers and then hairspray, thats how i get the more vintage soft looking curls if thats what your going for. remember to just comb it out gently- thats what gives it that soft look. hopefully this is helpful, sometimes curls just go array.(sp?) i also LOVE your bouquet! and the cake sounds awesome! beautiful gal-beautiful wedding-i'm excited for you! :)
